Fragments of Light

Fragments of Light is an exploration of shadow and light through woven images of sunsets, natural light filters, and cloudy textures. During an emotionally trying year, I found myself most centered when I was observing the cyclical patterns of natural daylight. Watching the natural transformation and movement of daylight felt like a larger metaphor of “things will pass.” Quick snapshots on my phone of these comforting skies slowly evolved into a larger collage; attempting to weave and replicate these fleeting moments of comfort. It serves as a reminder that things did in fact pass.
